Yamaha India Re-launching R15 Version 01

  • Sep 8, 2015
  • |   Comments
Yamaha Motor India is going to re introduce the very first version of its YZF R15 in the market by this festive season. No matter how bizarre the decision of Yamaha India looks but this might just do the trick for the company as there seems to be still big fan following exists for the older version of R15 in the country.

The more track centric version 2.0 of the YZF R15 is liked by many but the pillion seat and the overall rear end of the model 2.0 is not of the liking of many. Although, the extreme angle of the rear end of the bike looks aesthetically good but it is not at all practical for day to day utility and especially for the long rides. This is the reason why one can still find Yamaha enthusiasts vouching for the older version of R15 despite of the major updates received by the later version of the motorcycle.

Now, the upcoming YZF-R15 which is also said to be christened as R15-S will receive same underpinnings of the latest R15- V2.0 including same tuned engine, same chassis along with aluminum swingarm including broader tyres. The only difference seems to be the rear end of the bike which will be a carry forward of the older version including the long single seat. It is also expected that the new R15-S will be priced a little lesser than the R15 V2.0 and initially the difference will not even be substantial.
