Nicky Hayden the legendary MotoGP racer who had taken retirement from the premium class motorsport and chose to continue his racing career in World Superbike (WSBK) championship has registered his first ever WorldSBK victory. Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) ran a masterclass of a race in the French GP, trumping Champion contender and team mate Valentino Rossi by a mammoth 10 second advantage. Lorenzo started on pole position after decimating the Pole record in yesterday's qualifying session and led the way into the fast turn one. He was closely followed by the two Factory Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone, the latter crashing out after desperately trying to catch Lorenzo in the lead.
The Bavarian rider will be the second German rider on the MotoGP grid alongside Stefan Bradl (Aprilia Racing team Gresini) and is the first time that Germany has two representatives in the premier class of Motorsport. Ducati Corse general manager- Gigi Dall'Igna has thrashed the argument that the ‘Winglets are dangerous’. It is Ducati that has introduced the winglets to the MotoGP for better aerodynamics; however, despite of accepting the technology by other manufacturers it is being more criticized rather than appreciated.
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has inaugurated new spare parts center in Tamilnadu, the new center is situated within the facility of Yamaha in Chennai. Yamaha has opened the new establishment in 30,000 sq mts area. The new facility will be targeting the south Indian market for the in-time supply of the spare parts, IYM has invested total amount of Rs 580 Million establishing the new center.
Made in India 2016 KTM RC 390 has been launched in Europe, the updated KTM RC 390 was unveiled last year and since then it was a much awaited launch that has happened outside India. The new Ktm RC 390 has received some of the exotic updates like the new 2016 RC is now equipped with Slipper clutch for better cornering ability. It is also now featured with Ride-By-Wire throttle for improved response and the company is claiming that will help to achieve better fuel economy too.
