India Bound Kawasaki Ninja Z250SL Launched In Malaysia

Finally the much-awaited beginner class motorcycle from Kawasaki the Ninja Z250SL with single cylinder engine launched in Malaysia. Yes, I’m talking about the Kawasaki Ninja Z250SL Mono. The bike looks sexy and masculine as its last-generation 2-cylinder sibling. According to Jefferey Lim GM and director of Kawasaki Malaysia, SL refers to the "super light". The bike tips the scale at mere 148 kgs and tops out the speedo at 151 kmph. The Ninja Z250SL has got the compact diamond-type trellis frame, to keep the cost on lower side and safety on higher side. The motorcycle gets the same suspension setup at rear as the CBR250R to keep it a hauler on slow and high speeds. The single cylinder Kawasaki motor mated to a 6-speed gearbox churns out 28 Bhp of Max. power at 9700 Rpm and a Max. Torque of 22.6 Nm at 8200 Rpm. The engine flow from the radiator is also continues the family aesthetics, it propels the hot air away from engine and rider both, but towards the bottom side of motorcycle. Coming to its ergonomics and dimensions, I am really impressed from the images published in the Malaysian auto-media. The flat handlebars are lower and more genuine than the ninja 300. The rider sits in air bubble to avoid wind impacts. The wheelbase is calculated at 1330mm and the rider sits just 780mm above the ground, these dimensions really make it a worthy learner motorcycle. The 11.0 ltrs fuel tank is assumed to provide a decent range out of its stomach. The braking power comes from the dual-piston but, petaled 263mm disc at front and a 193mm disc at rear. There’s an optional ABS on offer too. Kawasaki has helped riders to get rid of those ugly and retro clocks with the digital one of the last generation 250. The hexagonal screen look very modern. The meter cluster is luxurious and tasteful enough for modern rider. There is the big speed speedometer display. Above it is the rev counter. Clock, trip meter and fuel capacity indicator are also there too. On the sides there is battery fault, high beam, EFI fault, ABS and oil pressure indicator. It is a very informative meter cluster indeed. It can be further improved if they decide to put the gear indicator into it. Bike is launched in two colors for now, Pearl shining yellow and Lime green.

The Kawasaki Ninja Z250SL is really expected to land onto the shores of our country as well. Then you can have a full comprehensive review of Kawasaki Ninja Z250SL. The ninja 300 has left a really wide space between a true blue 150cc and 250cc, so Kawasaki is expected to take the profit from that space via this motorcycle.
