Kawasaki Officials made an important announcement on the launch of their flagship motorcycle Ninja H2. They said that they would launch three new motorcycles in India and will start operations in their new showrooms too. Now the interesting part of the story is according to Autocar India, the three motorcycles to hit Indian market by Kawasaki are Z250SL, the Vulcan S and the Ninja ZX-6R 636. Ninja Z250SL will be the cheapest offering from Kawasaki among the three and they may price it aggressively to compete on Indian market. Ninja 250SL is a single cylinder 250cc bike from Kawasaki and its main rivals on Indian market will be Honda CBR250R and KTM RC200. The 250cc market is growing day by day in India but Kawasaki was lacking a single cylinder 250cc motorcycle but this time they will launch the much needed naked street fighter Ninja Z250SL, it is powered by a 249cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder,four-valve, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected motor which produces around 27.6bhp @ 9700 Rpm and Torque of 2.3 kgm @ 8200 Rpm. So in terms of power it will be more than RC200 and CBR250R. We think Kawasaki may price it around 2 lakh of rupees. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636 is powered by a 636cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, in-line four cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is which produces 129.2 bhp @ 13500 Rpm and torque of 7.2kgm @ 11500 Rpm. The Ninja ZX-6R 636 is equipped with slipper clutch, traction control and ABS for better braking and confidence. The bike has two power modes and an economy indicator which will help the rider to achieve a bit more mileage from this green monster. The main rival of Ninja ZX-6R 636 will be Triumph Daytona 675R, which is currently dominating the segment. Kawasaki may price it around 12-13 lakh INR. Kawasaki Vulcan S is powered by a 649cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected , parallel twin engine which produces 60.2bhp @ 7500 Rpm of power and 6.4kgm @ 6600 Rpm of torque, the engine of this beautiful cruiser is based on the engine of Ninja 650, which is currently available in India. The bike offers adjustable rider foot pegs and customizable seating posture with low seat height to endure the rider gets maximum comfort and enjoy the ride. The Kawasaki Vulcan S is also equipped with eco meter for better mileage and ABS for more safety. The cruiser weighs 225kg without ABS and 3kgs extra for ABS model. The Vulcan S will compete with Harley Davidson street 750, which is currently dominating the 600cc above cruiser segment for the aggressive pricing done by Harley Davidson. It may be priced around 6 lakh INR.
