The Austrian motorcycle maker KTM has teased the anticipated bike ahead its launch- KTM RC125. The launch of the bike is expected soon as the teaser video depicts "Coming Soon". The track version of the Duke 125 was expected in India ever since the naked had launched November last year. The bookings for the least capacity KTM RC bike has already commenced as dealerships have started taking booking amount INR 5000 ahead of official launch of the bike.The KTM RC 125 is the faired version of the naked Duke 125 with styling shared from RC 200 and RC 390. The is featured with twin LED Projector headlamps with DRLs alongside LED Taillight unit at the rear. The motorcycle will share the same 124cc liquid cooled single cylinder high rev motor from Duke 125. The mill is capable of producing 14.3 Ps of power and 12 nm of peak torque. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel through constant mesh 6- Speed gear transmission.
The new KTM RC 125 is expected to be launched at premium of around 10K to 12K over naked Duke 125 which has a price tag of Rs 1.3 Lacs (Ex-Showroom). It is also expected that for the sake of differentiation the company might launch the bike in distinct livery and color than RC 200/ RC390. In terms of pricing the new KTM RC 125 will lock horns with the likes of Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0.By: Farhan Kashif
