Finally we have some good news for people who thought the concept of cafe racer is ridiculed in India by putting a 100cc engine on something which looked like a cafe racer. Now you can soon get a Royal Enfield Continental GT 750cc with inline twin cylinder engine, no we are not joking. We all know that Royal Enfield is working on two new engines for their future motorcycles one of them is a two-cylinder 750cc motor and other is a single-cylinder 410cc mill, but this time a 750cc mill is caught doing its job in Continental GT to confirm and stop the rumors which was floating on internet for quite some time.Royal Enfield Continental GT with powerful 750cc, inline twin cylinder engine was caught testing, it is a totally new engine which is expected to produce around 45-50 BHP with a peak torque of 60 Nm.
What we can notice from the images are, it has got oil cooled engine which was much needed and a necessity for a 750cc engine, the 750cc engine prototype gets its intake from a pair of carburetors, Single spark plug for each cylinder is employed to take care of ignition. Royal Enfield decided to use carburetors in place of fuel injection which will be cost effective but on the same time fuel efficiency will be compromised.
So the powerful 750cc engine would be a cost effective and is also expected to be the most refined and vibration free Royal Enfield engine ever produced.Royal Enfield has finally done what it was planning to do so over the years. Royal Enfield plans to dominate the world of mid-sized motorcycle segment and we can see they have already started the process. Not to forget Harley-Davidson, the most popular make of motorcycles in the world was beaten last year by the Royal Enfield. We can expect that Royal Enfield could launch the bike along with 'Himalyan' the upcoming adventure motorcycle at the Auto Expo 2016 and stun everyone with its highly awaited engines.
