Now finally, we got a pic showing that the bike has finally arrived to a dealership. Although, the destination is not confirmed but if you look at carefully the Saree Guard which is mandatory for India and a small Temple beside the reception desk is sufficient to believe the story. So now, if there is any bike that we are just scratching our heads from so so many months and waiting very badly for it's launch is the Pulsar 200ss. First we thought it's going to be launched somewhere before the mid of last year which later was postponed to September and then for Diwali and so on and on and on. Pweeh.
Now to quickly speak about the Pulsar 200ss, the Pulsar 200ss is nothing but a copy of the 400ss which is a sports-tourer bike whereas the engine and other components are borrowed from it's naked sibling, the Pulsar 200NS.Going by the power, the engine is a 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, carburetor/fi employed (again we have a doubt here) unit producing 23.18 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm, sharing from the Pulsar 200NS. The Pulsar 200SS was promoted first in Turkey a few weeks ago and we can surely expect it to be launching here soon.
We don't personally understand the reason why Bajaj is delaying or not launching first here in India but hope that they launch it here as soon as possible and this bike will help regain some sales which Bajaj is a little low now.By: Rakesh Gowda
