Upcoming Naked Yamaha MT-03 Revealed?

  • Jul 8, 2015
  • |   Comments
It is like less than a day when we got the news that the Yamaha R3 is finally going to be launched next month, i.e. August. If you read the whole news, we mentioned at the end that a naked version of the Yamaha R3 is in the making and it will make its debut in the 2016 Auto Expo. And here you go, the patents of the Yamaha MT-03/MT-320 start surfacing over the net, posted by Visordown. The Yamaha MT-03/MT-320 is the naked version of the Yamaha R3 which is going to be launched in the country next month. The bike will be using the same chassis, engine, suspension, brakes, switches, etc., of Yamaha R3 minus the fairing and will have a headlight like that of the MT-25. Visually, the MT-03 will be identical to the MT-25. Well we are not 100% sure as to whether this is the all new MT-03/MT-320 but again there are certain things which make us to believe so. Take a closer look at the images and you can see the ABS rings on the front and rear wheels which makes us to believe that this might be a MT-03 rather than the MT-25 as at the moment there's no ABS on the MT-25.

Also bearing in mind that the motorcycles having capacity of 125cc and above should have ABS as standard from 2017 (as per Europe's rule that these motorcycles must be fitted with ABS), we are certain that this will be introduced next year. As of now, we hope that the MT-03/Mt-320 will make its debut at the Auto Expo 2016 and it will be launched at the latter part of the year. Tell us your views on what you think about the patents in the comments below. Source: VisorDown
