2019 Indian Scout FTR1200- All you need to know

World’s first Flat Track inspired motorcycle has been launched in America. The bike is one of a kind and looks like a cross between a Harley Sportster and a Scrambler. The bike will become available in the spring of 2019 and it will come in two different variants, “S” and “Base”. With the exception of very unoriginal variant names, the FTR 1200 is a purely modern machine.

The Indian FTR 1200 isn’t out yet, but there is a very good chance that a bike which was supposed to be a do it all Cruiser/Scrambler is reduced to a single dimensional clone. FTR 1200 was supposed to be the cruiser version of Duke 1290, which would do a wheelie, slide on off-road tracks, and jump around the urban jungle. Instead, we have none of those capabilities in our potential production ready variant.

The sport, Flat track racing, around which the bikes are based is not even known by many people in our country, so it’s not a surprise that we barely have any knowledge about the upcoming FTR 1200.
