You read it first on BikesIndia.org, yes the wait is finally over. To all you people who have been waiting for quite a very very long time for the Pulsar 200SS, the sweet news is here finally. Bajaj has directed dealers to start taking bookings for the upcoming Pulsar 200SS. The news is confirmed from an Authorised Bajaj dealership from Western India.
The booking amount of the bike is Rs 5000 and the price of the bike will be revealed only after the launch. The bike is going to be launched finally at the end of this month. Though the dealer did not give us the price of it, we expect the bike to be priced around Rs 1.30-1.35 lacs. The delivery of the bike will commence from next month or latest by early month of May depending upon the official launch of the bike. The booking has started from the Western India where Pune and Mumbai are the prominent cities and soon it will be followed by rest of the places in the country.
So now coming to the bike, the Pulsar 200SS is the first bike from Bajaj to be fully faired and also which is going to be Bajaj's flagship model until the big daddy 400SS is going to be later. The Bajaj Pulsar 200SS was first showcased in Turkey and is going to be launched there in June. The bike looks like it is focused more towards touring. Going by the power, the engine is the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled that has been used in the Pulsar 200NS but this comes with fi instead of carburetor, producing 23.18 Bhp at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike will be available in four colours, Red, Blue, Yellow and Black.
