If you are in market to buy a good scooter with 110cc engine, you have lots of choices to choose from which can confuse you and can make your decision hard but today we will tell you about four scooters and will try to make your choice easier. Among the four scooters, three of them are well known to you i.e. Honda Activa 3G, TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro but Yamaha launched Fascino recently to give a tough competition to three of them. So, is Fascino worthy enough to give a tough fight to those scooters, who have already made their place in two-wheeler scooter segment? Let's see.

Honda Activa 3G Honda Activa is the king of scooters from 15 years and Activa deserves to be the king because it came in the market when two wheeler segment was dominated by motorcycles, Honda Activa didn't care about all that and made its place and forced other manufacturers to follow. Many manufacturers came up with their scooters with a motive to dethrone Activa but failed, though some scooters have made their places but Activa rules when it comes to scooter segment. Honda launched Activa 3G (3rd generation) to continue its success, which isn't very different from its previous version.

Honda Activa 3G came up with minor cosmetic upgrades and new paint schemes. It is designed very neatly and looks almost identical to it's predecessors except the new side panels, 3D emblem, redesigned headlamp and taillight. Honda Activa 3G is powered by the same engine from its previous generation, it has 109 cc Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine , single-cylinder motor, air-cooled, which churns out 8Ps of peak power and 8.7Nm torque, it is mated to a CVT transmission. Honda claims that Activa 3G will be capable to return fuel efficiency of 60kmpl. Braking duties are handled by front and rear drum brakes with CBS (Combi Braking System). It has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres with 18 litres of under-seat storage and a kerb weight of 108kg.

TVS Jupiter It is a great scooter which is built on the platform of Wego, TVS Jupiter has a bulky design which is good for male riders. Design wise it doesn't look very different from its rivals and you may mistake Jupiter as Activa if you don't pay close attention. TVS Jupiter has large 12-inch wheels with telescopic front suspension which makes ride quality superb. Jupiter is powered by 110cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 8 bhp and 8 Nm of torque.

Jupiter features V-Matic transmission and has an Econometer which will help riders to achieve good fuel efficiency, there are two indicators in instrument cluster Eco and Power, if the light is green , you are in 'Eco' mode and riding under 50 kmph and if you go beyond 50 kmph, 'Power' light will be on, TVS claims that it can deliver you a mileage of 62 kmpl. The Jupiter gets drum brakes at front as well as in rear which does their duty efficiently. It has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres with 17 litres of under-seat storage and weighs 108 kgs.

Hero Maestro Hero Maestro is a bigger and masculine looking scooter which is targeted to male riders. Their is nothing new in the design and looks like other scooters in the segment but that doesn't mean it looks bad, it looks impressive. Hero Maestro is powered by 109cc air-cooled engine with single-cylinder and automatic gearbox that churns out 8.2PS and 9.10 Nm of torque.

Maestro is a stylish scooter and has packed some good features as well like service due indicator. Hero claims that Maestro can deliver you a mileage of 60 kmpl. It has drum brakes at both ends which does their job efficiently with the help of combine braking system. Maestro has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres with 18 litres of under-seat storage and weighs 110 kgs.

Yamaha Fascino The latest offering from the stable of Yamaha. Fascino looks interesting with its modern yet retro styling, this is the only scooter in the comparison which looks completely different in design and styling. This scooter is going to grab a lot of eyeballs because of its unique design. Yamaha claims Fascino to be a comfortable scooter and can achieve a fuel economy of 66 kmpl with the help of 'Blue Core' technology, it is the highest claimed mileage in this comparison as well as in India.

The scooter is powered by the same engine which we have seen in Ray, Ray-Z and Alpha, it has 113 cc air-cooled, 2-valve, 4-stroke engine which churns out 7.1 bhp and torque of 8.1 nm, with the help of CVT gearbox. Braking in this scooter is taken care by drum brakes at front and rear as well. Fascino has a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 litres with a whopping under-seat storage of 21 liters and the lightest scooter in its class with only 103 Kgs. Verdict And Price-
Honda Activa 3G

The brand Activa is a proven scooter though it doesn't have anything exceptional but it is ruling the Indian scooter market because it is the game changer of scooter market in India, this scooter made its place and it deserves the places where it is today. So if you are spending INR 49,124, (ex-showroom) you are in no way going wrong. You are getting a refined engine of Honda as well as Honda's reliability.

TVS Jupiter

This is a a scooter which offers better features like 12 inch wheel, mobile charging point TVS has done a lot of improvement in the engine which can be felt, vibrations are almost gone. TVS Jupiter offers almost everything which we demand in a modern scooter. You can buy this Unisex scooter for your daily commuting but the mileage in real world is bit low than it's competition. But the good thing is that it is priced lower than Activa 3G, at INR 46,925 - 48,925 (ex-showroom) it is a good deal.

Hero Maestro

Maestro is most powerful scooter in this comparison with 8.2 Ps and 9.10 Nm. Maestro is a good looking scooter and will suit male riders due to its big and bulky look. Hero Maestro has made its own place in Indian scooter market because Hero has one of the best after sales service. This scooter is the heaviest in this comparison, with 2 Kgs more than Activa 3G and Jupiter. Even this scooter has lesser mileage in the real world. At Rs. 51,099(Ex-Showroom Price) you have better choices to choose from, if you are not a fan of Hero.

Yamaha Fascino

This is the scooter from which Yamaha and we have a lot of expectations. This scooter is totally different in looks from other three scooters in this comparison and has better features too. It has 21 liters of under-seat storage, which is amazing. It has 103 Kgs which is 7 Kgs lesser than Maestro. Now coming to mileage Yamaha claims 66 kmpl, which is class leading. So if you want a scooter to look different from others, go for this retro look scooter with better features and claimed mileage. Priced at INR 52500 (ex-showroom), it is bang for your buck.

We all have heard about the MT-03 series from different places around the Internet. So far, most of us know two things about the bike. All new Honda Grazia has got really cool and astonishing looks. The very first look of the scooter somehow reminds us of Honda Dio from the front and the rear end. Actually the whole scooter looks like Honda Activa has worked out, took heavy diet and transformed. Beautiful fine lines and bulky yet aerodynamic front of Grazia mesmerizes the soul.
