Honda One Make Championship is a base for the budding riders, who wants to step in the era of motorsports. The next level of Honda’s One Make Championship is the "Asia Dream Cup" of road racing championship. This time it’s the Indian racer Sarath Kumar who has made the country proud by finishing at the podium for the Asia Dream Cup Road Racing Championship. He is the first Indian in the championship to finish podium victory. He accepted the trophy wrapped under the Indian tri-colour flag.
Honda won the triple crown in the world’s most challenging Moto Gp championship. Honda nurtures riders across the world, but in India they do so by their One Make Championship, which led 3 Indian riders to participate in Asian Dream Cup Championship.The Dream Cup is an intense motorcycle racing championship comprising of 6 rounds. Where were total 18 racers from 10 Asian countries raced across Asia’s best track across Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar, Japan and Thailand on their specially modified CBR250Rs.
The last 6th round held in Losail International Circuit, Qatar. Sarath recorded a best lap time of 02:32:560 minutes for his fastest of 9 laps featured. Sarath kumar is the current national champion of CBR250R category in the Honda’s One Make Racing Championship.
The three riders sponsored by Honda, who were part of the Dream Cup Championship were Sarath Kumar, a 23 year old Ranchi boy Sumit Locus Toppo (finished 8th in overall championship) and a 24 year old Arunagiri Prabhu from Chennai (finished 17th in championship).Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt.
