Back in the late 20th century, the Big four Japanese firms have upped the ante in the sub 500cc segment, by introducing inline four motorcycles with capacities ranging from 250cc to 400cc. they were insanely powered, producing anywhere from 45 to 70 horsepower and had a redline of a Whopping 19,000 RPM (yeah, this isn’t any formula one engine!). they were too complex and expensive to build, and subsequently replaced by a single or twin cylinder model which was far more affordable than the inline four counterparts. There were scoops regarding a Kawasaki ZX-3R, with a 250-300cc Inline four being in the works. Recently, a Japanese magazine named “Young Machine”, Known for their accurate scoops (They were the first to report the CBR 250R,400R and the Yamaha R25) came up with a news that took everyone by surprise- a 250cc inline four from the guys at Motegi- Honda.
The original 250RR was a gem back in the time, producing 49 horses at 16,000 RPM, had old school carburetion and no electronic aids whatsoever. Now with the advent of advanced technologies like ABS and fuel injection, this one might just be a shocker, if priced sedately (Honda is notorious for overpricing their bikes).Note: The picture might be a Mix of the Ducati Panigale and the CBR 650F, note that this is just a render and not the original bike.
