Yamaha R15 V3 Is Selling Like Crazy

  • Nov 28, 2018
  • |   Comments
Post Highlights
- Yamaha R15 V3 sold 15,000 units in October
- It had previously sold 13,000 units in September
- It is priced at Rs. 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom)
There is no stopping for Yamaha R15 V3 at this point. The 150cc mini sportbike sold 15,000 units in the month of October 2018, which is more than Pulsar 220, Bajaj Dominar 200, and KTM 200 Twins combined. That is indeed an amazing comeback.

In case you were wondering, as to why the bike sells so much, we did an article on it a while back, explaining in detail, why the R15 V3 sells like a hot cake. You can check it out here.

The bike had a decent start at the time of its launch. It managed around 3-5k unis during its initial months. However, things started to pick up pace after August, when the sales jumped from 8k to 13k.

Yamaha R5 V3 was launched without an ABS and with a right side up forks instead of the upside down units. Though these downgrades were criticized early on, the bike ran just fine without them. The ABS version is also coming very soon, which will make this bike even more desirable.

Yamaha R15 V3 goes up against a number of motorcycles in its current price range. Its main competitors include the TVS Apache RTR 200 4v, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and the recently launched KTM Duke 125.
