Mahindra Mojo Off Road Test Ride Review

  • Jan 23, 2016
  • |   Comments
We live in a country where one bike is expected to do everything. The Mahindra Mojo is a machine which is made for one purpose, Cruising. After an extensive review on the Mojo 300, we take the bike off- road and see how it performs.

The bike handles on gravel and uneven surfaces pretty well. The seat is soft and provide ample padding that will keep you comfortable even after long runs on bad terrains. Mahindra Mojo has a very soft suspension setup and the Mojo soaks the bumps and potholes with ease. We went over bad patches with slow as well as high speeds and the bike was well behaved. We were able to maintain our balance on the bike without much effort and the bike stayed planted to the ground. The hardware on the Mojo is not off-road friendly though. E.g. the stock tyres, Pirelli Diablo Rosso II are soft and are more suitable for tarmac. They are not as grippy as we would have liked when we rode with them. If serious off - roading is involved, then we would recommend you to swap those tyres with the rubber more suitable for the harsh terrains. An off-road or a least a dual purpose tyre is necessary we feel. The gearbox was not as smooth as we would have liked. The engine however, is very smooth and you won’t feel the vibrations unless you are on extremely high revs. The best thing about this bike is good low end torque. The bike was happy at taller gears and without any knocks the bike could be pulled from lower rpm’s. We must say the pillion was not at all unhappy on extremely bad roads. However, the seat is not long and pillion will not be comfortable on longer rides if both rider and the pillion have heavy builds. The suspension travel is good and the tyre did not touch any part of the bike with two on-board. Verdict:

Mahindra Mojo is a bike which shouts cruiser and can be taken to off-roads with ease. If you are a rider who loves to explore terrains and travel around, then it would be a good choice as it offers the combination of comfort and power one would expect from a bike. Now the main question comes, can we take this bike to Ladakh? Of course yes. The bike will offer you a great experience and it would be a very good alternative for folks who expect good power without the compromise of comfort.

Why Mahindra Mojo Is A Worthy Touring Machine

Jul 16, 2018
Motorcycle Touring demands different kind of riding style. While it involves riding at an optimum speed but it still requires most of your attention. The bike and the rider, both need to stay relaxed and clear-minded while munching long miles. You can’t tour for long while being constantly annoyed by fuel range, vibrations and potential break down.

Mar 7, 2018
Mahindra has released the stripped down version of their Flagship motorcycle and named it as Mojo UT 300. According to the company, it’s a do it all motorcycle, with peppy performance in the city and out on the highway as well. The best part is that, now its Rs 20,000 cheaper than the original Mojo. Will these changes finally be enough for the bike to compete in the fast emerging 300-400 cc segment? The best way to find out is to compare it with the most value for money motorcycle in this range, the Bajaj Dominar 400. Let’s begin.

Mahindra Mojo Review: Feel Of A Sportbike On A Cruiser

Jan 15, 2016
Riding the Mahindra Mojo in the city is pretty easy, even though it has all the weight on it, it changes direction very easily and it really surprised me with its quite small turning radius. The bike can move through tight spaces as well and cut through traffic quite easily.
