New 2016 Suzuki Access 125- Overview

  • Mar 15, 2016
  • |   Comments
The all new 2016 Suzuki Access 125 has been launched in Delhi today and what's exiting is, as the first line suggests, It REALLY is brand new, almost every bit from chassis to design and engine to improved torque. Suzuki has always brought noticeable difference in every new launch. They surely have understood the like minds of Indian customers. Taking this as an advantage their very new product Access 125 has given the right product by appearance. So let us go through what are the new features in the 2016 Access 125 in evaluation with 2015 variant:

At first let us take you to the heart of the scooter- "Engine". The previous variant Access which was launched back in 2007 shared the same displacement capacity with the newly launched vehicle. But running at 7000 rpm it produced 8.7 PS power and max torque of 9.8 Nm @5000 rpm, while the new Access get more TORQUE from the home grown SEP Engine which is said to be developed based on their MotoGP experience. The New variant runs at the same rpm of 7000 to produce 8.7 Bhp which the torque has been increased to 10.2 Nm @5000 rpm. This is something which is to deal with the pulling capacity of the engine. While the Bore and Stroke of the new Access has been reduced and the figures of new and old ones are as follows: The above numbers tell us that there is something more that can be extracted from the new engine because of the longer stroke with slime bore. And the company claims it to be more fuel efficient and has powerful acceleration. We could agree with the acceleration part which we need to wait to know more about the fuel efficiency part. Tyres, Brakes and Suspension:

Suzuki has come up with tubeless tyres and has increased the size of the front tyre from 10 inches to 12 inches. This time also the front wheel has disc brake (optional) and the rear still has drum brakes in the new scooter. The previous generation Access 125 had drum brakes on both front and rear tyres. The new Suzuki Access 125 is suspended on Front telescopic forks and single spring loaded suspension at the rear. Thanks to the all new frame which reduces weight which intern increases power and mileage, the new Access is said to return fuel efficiency of impressive 64 KMPL. The new Access 125 runs through your minimum the fuel tank capacity has been cut down by 400 ml to shed weight since the fuel density will affect the overall load of the vehicle. That's some Japanese brains at work. The 2016 Access weighs just 102 kgs reducing nearly 10 kilos from the previous gen which includes a 5.6 lt fuel tank. The previous model had 6 lt fuel tank though. Appearance, Features & Price:

Who does not like to own a stylish vehicle, the very first thing that an average Indian commuter thinks of is about the appearance of his/her ride. Keeping this in mind Suzuki has done some product design on its new product making distinguishable changes which is attractive enough for us. It is the wide variety of customers who needs to be attracted though.

This very 2016 Access 125 model has chrome finish all over, a rectangular headlight is also given with chrome trim for a retro look. 3D emblem logo and some styling elements like curves, rich body works and edge lines makes it a unique product from the previous gen. The all new Access is also featured with brand new instrument console which is part digital and part analog. The meter cluster comes in very classic white color. The analog speedometer is been kept very prominent whereas at the bottom of the cluster there is small digital display lies. There is provision of twin trip meters and fuel gauge given on board.

Suzuki has not only put a brand new chassis on the new Access for making it lightweight but also this increased the overall length of the scooter along with increased wheelbase for better stability and control. The size of foot-board at the new Access 125 is also increased with class leading storage capacity. There is also a pocket given on the front dash of the scooter for keeping small things handy. Matching to their personal needs Suzuki will be offering Access in 5 different shades - Pearl Suzuki deep blue, Candy sonoma red, Pearl mirage white, Metallic matte Fibroin grey and Glass Sparkle Grey. Tagged at Rs 53,887/- (ex-Delhi) 2016 Access is one machine to be counted in for strong competition.

All new Honda Grazia has got really cool and astonishing looks. The very first look of the scooter somehow reminds us of Honda Dio from the front and the rear end.
