What Is Motorcycle Rev Limiter And How It Works?

Rev limiter works by limiting the revs by using different methods even if the throttle is wide open. Almost all the performance bikes are equipped with this device and recently entry-level motorcycles like KTM RC 390 also come equipped with the same. The basic working of a rev limiter involves cutting off one of the many components needed for the combustion process. A rev limiter either controls ignition timing, spark or fuel to the injectors.

The Bolted Sub-Frame Mystery Revealed

The new 2017 KTM Dukes come with a new chassis which KTM is calling the “bolted sub-frame”. It is typically a frame connected to a frame by either welding, or in the case of KTMs bolted. The concept is pretty simple, you divide the individual frame into two units, and connect them to each other with bolts, yet they remain two separate entities.

Marc Marquez rode a rather perfect race to clinch his fifth victory of the season. Teammate Dani Pedrosa was back into action at the front finishing in second place. Factory Ducati rider Jorge Lorenzo took the second podium finish of this season, way in front of Championship contender and teammate Andrea Dovizioso. Valentino Rossi coming from a tiresome leg injury managed to finish the race in P5, marking a strong comeback.
