The all new Ducati Desmosedici Stradale V4, just the name of this thing makes it sound like the big monster created by an insane scientist. The engine weighs in at just 64.9 kg; Desmosedici Stradale is just 2.2 kg heavier than super Quadro twin which has a cubic capacity of 1285 cc. The origin of this engine has its roots in the soul Ducatis of V4 MotoGP engine. The dimension and the geometry of its cylinder heads are identical in both the GP version and this engine.

Marc Marquez made his fastest lap of the race to take over the dominating Danilo Petrucci clinching his fourth victory of the season. Danilo Petrucci rode an incredible race from start to finish and ended up at P2. Andrea Dovizioso held up his nerves in these tricky conditions for a podium position, and is now equal on points with Marquez. Maverick Viñales finishes at P4 grabbing some important points for the Championship.

Movistar Yamaha's Maverick Viñales took a stunning pole position at Misano after a tight fit with Andrea Dovizioso. Championship leader Dovi starts just behind from the middle of the front row. Marc Marquez start from P3, though he suffered a huge blow and kissed the gravel on a quick lap. Cal Crutchlow leads the second row of the grid at P4. Valentino Rossi sadly misses out his home GP following a training crash and breaking his right tibia last week. Yamaha announced there will be no replacement for The Doctor and has a "Come soon, we miss you" message in the garage.
